I was born outside the small village of Evain, in the Abitibi region of northern, Canada, and am presently living in Gatineau Quebec. I am married, with two grown children. My passions are: my God, my family, nature and my art.
I paint spontaneously…
No sketches, no drawings, no visual support. The inspiration comes from my heart, my soul and my imagination. My senses are as one with the paintbrush, an extension of my hand, as putting on paper whatever I feel, or see in my mind.
I paint with love, passion, ease, speed and joy…
I am excited to share my work with the world.
I paint freely…
Using techniques and mediums including watercolors, oils and acrylic (brushes, knife, and fingers), salt, waxes and anything that works with water mediums. I also use collage to create various textures. Some of my works are displayed on my website at http//pages.infinit.net/mthee,
I am also a green artist….
I use only recycled material in my work, such as leather, fur, hair, paper, fabric etc. Most of my frames are also recycled.
I am delighted that my creativity was recognized by le Salon d’Automne International des Beaux Arts de Montréal, where I was awarded the 2000 Bronze Medal for Les Cheveux d’Anges (Angels’ Hair). The following page is a listing of the different art galleries and expositions where I showed my work. Do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information in order to make a decision.
I look forward to hearing from you with great anticipation.
Sincerely,
Marie-Thée Pelletier Baxter
