BELA. ARTIST STATEMENT
Olga Perry
Through these times we both discovered our abilities to go very deep into the darkness and come back holding great light. I pursued my certification in massage and hypnotherapy and she grew up and moved to South Africa at 18 for a year. I joined her at the end of her journey to find a beautiful, intelligent and brave young women the Africans called “Little Star”. Before she left she had named me Isabela Victoria Diaz that freed me from the many burdens of Deborah Jean. I worked and went to school 7 days a week studying Acting, Art, Design and continued my knowledge in dance the one thread that seemed constant. My studies in dance have ranged from Ballet, Modern Jazz, African, Samba, Salsa, Flamenco, Middle Eastern and Argentine Tango. In my 40’s in addition to developing my works in massage and hypnotherapy I also began “Bela’s Designs”, home organizations and re-creations.
Currently my studies continue in Intuitive Body and Energy Balancing and I am fascinated by Metaphysical Science and Quantum Physics. My hunger for knowledge never left so a great deal of free time is spent digesting any far thinking materials I am led to (believe me I am led). I am privileged to perform in the art of Middle Eastern dance and continue to put my feelings to words in short story or poetry. I am also blessed for to this day I still indwell in nature and in return nature indwells in me as my greatest teacher in all things. My experiences have taken me beyond this body and mind to discover we are always connected to One Spirit that is much greater than are minds can even fathom. Through all my works and encounters it is this light that I hope to ignite in others so that they too can feel all there is to be. My greatest joy in this life are my children for they walk with an integrity and purity of heart I so admire and made this journey to ignite this brilliant light in me.
