Sacred to Hawaiians, this Majestic Waterfall was located on the Big Island of Hawaii. A trail along the Kohala Ditch, led to this magnificent 1000 foot Waterfall, dropping hundreds of feet above and below the trail.
This was a favorite hike for many before October 2006. An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 off the northwest coast of the Big Island destroyed the path leading to this spectacular site. I was fortunate to have these pictures taken just before the earthquake. I cherish them, knowing that these pictures will never be captured again. My pictures are in two galleries on the Big Island.
