I was born and raised in Renton, WA, and have lived in the Seattle area all my life. When I was twenty, I found myself in a very abusive marriage, which has cast a long shadow over my life. However, I am now in a loving, life-giving marriage, and we celebrated our five year wedding anniversary in September of 2008. I have two great daughters who make sure that I never have a dull moment in my life! :-)
In addition to domestic violence, I also suffered from religious abuse for eleven years at a fundamentalist church. I managed to break free from that group, and I am now active in a progressive Episcopalian community, where I have found a genuine spiritual home.
Painting has been my passion ever since I was little. I also enjoy writing and singing. My favorite pastimes include spending time with my family, watching movies, taking walks in the forest, and listening to music. David Bowie is especially close to my heart. Since I was a child, I have loved Sesame Street - and I have an Ernie tattoo. I love animals too, and have a special connection with cats.
I hope you enjoy my paintings! |
