Antonios Katanos was born in Istanbul in 1952.He was awarded his B.A degree in Anthropology and History of Art from S.U.N.Y.at New Paltz,New York.He combines his passion for photography with archaeology.Specializes in archaeological, architectural and nature photography.Recently he resides in Greece.Cooperates with publishing houses and magazines.Has published articles with photos such as:Dragon houses(Mysterious megalithic structures of Evoia), the technological achievements of Minyans(draining the lake Copais in prehistoric times),the Cyclopean fortifications,Mycenaean pyramid,bridges and tombs,Megalithic monuments,ceremonial caves and mountaintop sanctuaries,ancient metallurgical works in Lavreotiki,Kouroi and menhir of Naxos,classical fortifications of Attica, Temples,sanctuaries,oracle sites and theaters from the Hellenistic and Roman period.
