I liked living in this old style city next to Nagano, and I always thought that these old style storehouses there were really lovely. I had planned to paint pictures of the lot of them all through the summer, but my time there got cut short. I didn't want to have to move, but I did. I tried to make the best of all the time left to me there - by painting this view from one corner of a 4 story parking garage while it rained. The rain only lasted for a little over an hour, but my hands were like ice for a long time after I came back in.
