	click images below for alternate view     Christmas "First" Quilt 61"x85" Sisters In Stitches This quilt was commissioned by the parents' of a young man who loved Christmas and wanted a special quilt for his first "big" bed. 5 Christmas fabrics were selected that featured Christmas basketes, red stockings, white angels, cardinals and a green print. 4 smaller blocks were arranged into a larger block to form pinwheel affect. A subtle grid also appeared from the green fabric. Each fabric patch was hand quilted around to bring out the patch. 2 borders were added -- one being grey leaves and the second being black. Leaves were hand quilted in the grey border and a cable design was hand quilted in the black border. The quilt is hand bound and is used every winter by the young man who is now just a year or so away from being on his own. (c)1994 Jean M.
