"As I paint I try to bring a soft-emotion into my paintings the kind that will excite one with the sheer simplicity of nature around us." Nature fascinates me. I have traveled to many different places enjoying and studying the beauty of nature in all it's moods. Lafayette Square, is a quiet conservative corner in Savannah Georgia, with stately townhouses and freestanding mansions surrounding it. Sandy enjoyed her childhood days in the "Hostess City of the South," The unfolding pageantry of gigantic sprays of white, red, and vermilion azaleas in full bloom and dogwood blossoms floating above the azaleas like millions of butterflies is creative inspiration for anyone. Sandy started painting at an early age, receiving awards and selling her paintings in local art shows. Sandy, opened a gallery giving her work plenty of room to be viewed by all who passed through the lovely "Queen City." In the Carolina's,Sandy, finds nature wild and awesome along the seashore and overgrown pastures of our southern landscape. Art in the home or office gives us the feeling of living, growing, they're even healing and comforting. Sandy, shares her love of nature through drawing classes with children. She has carried her talent into a card line which she has been retailing since 1989... Thank you for visiting, enjoy the art, and please stay as long as you like, leave critique. Her paintings are active in many different national and international expositions, with a very positive world wide sales history. |
