Beads are approx. 10mm x 8mm. Renée crafts each lampwork bead from Italian Moretti Glass. The beads are made by melting the glass around a steel rod. Each color in a bead is a different color of glass that is melted onto the next color. The beads are then cooled in a kiln, this cooling process, called annealin, makes the beads strong enough to be used in jewelry for everyday wear.
