Candice Martin is a native of North Carolina, currently residing in the piedmont. She began exploring her interest in arts in junior high and senior high school and continued those pursuits throughout the beginning of her collegiate education. A graduate of Appalachian State University, she worked in the archival and textile worlds until returning to her original love of art with an emphasis on watercolors.
Painting watercolors, drawing portraits, and portraying scenes from everyday life are what Candice enjoys most. Capturing the beauty of the everyday moment is an interesting challenge that she enjoys. A certain look on a child's face, a quiet countryside after a fresh snowfall, or a group of freshly cut flowers that are still pungent with perfume are all inspirations.
