PRESS RELEASE, ARTspeak, New York, Sept.1991,By SEAN SIMON.Besides being a painter, Kenneth Tam is a registered architect, and his hard-edged abstractions are suitably dynamic in their construction of geometric forms. However, Tam employs architectonic structures with singular expressiveness that owes much to his skill as a colorist. In "Night in the Town 2," Tam employs neo-cubistic areas of red, yellow and blue to create dynamic spatial tensions. |
