Frequently Asked Questions
~~~ ABSTRACT ART ~~~...
Q: How much does it cost to ship my painting?
A: Shipping depends on a variety of factors including size of canvas, weight and destination. In general for smaller art S/H will be 20.00-40.00. Medium sized pieces 35.00-50.00. And large paintings 45.00-75.00. For paintings over 36x48 Freight charges will apply. Please email for freight fees. I use FedEx Freight, but you are welcome to arrange for other shipping.
Shipping charges include packaging material, insurance, and actual UPS fee. I do not charge for my time and I do not make money on shipping charges. My buyers are always welcome to arrange for their own shipping. I will gladly supply the dimensions and weight of the box. I would then only charge for my packaging material (usually 7.00-10.00)(25.00 - 30.00 for oversized paintings).
Q: Do you ship Internationally?
A: Yes, please email me for rates. In general the UK is around 60.00 USD. Certain size restrictions apply to each country. Email me to find out. I ship with the USPS for International - Air Mail Parcel Post (4 - 10 business days delivery time).
I accept WIRE TRANSFERS ONLY for International orders.
Q: What if I want to return my painting?
A: When you pay through PayPal, they offer you a 45 day money back guarantee for all items priced at 1000.00 or less. You have to select this guarantee when you check out. There is a small fee for this service. Email for more details.
Q: What if I dont want to use PayPal?
A: I accept personal checks (drawn on a U.S. bank)and wire transfers as well. If you choose one of these options, I will still guarantee my work. All I ask is that you contact me within 3 business days of receipt, return the painting in it's original undamaged condition and I will refund the price of the painting minus S/H fees and a 25% restocking fee.
I do not accept returns on "Custom Color" commissions or sale items. Please provide clear instrucions on your color requirements. You may send samples to me in the mail.
I do not accept returns on "Oversized" commission orders. Oversized is anything larger than 30x40.
Q: What if my painting arrives damaged?
A: I take great care in packaging your painting as securely as possible. I have shipped over 1500 paintings so far. I follow (and exceed) UPS, FedEX, USPS's recommended guidelines for safe packaging.
In the unlikely event that your painting does arrive with damage. Call me within 72 hours so we can start your claim as soon as possible. It is very important that you keep all of the packaging material and everything together so UPS can inspect the damage. Digital photos are also a good idea.
Your painting will be fully insured for the total price of the artwork.
Q: Do you offer volume discounts?
A: No. My internet fees are my discount pricing. Gallery pricing is 50% higher.
Q: Can I pick up my painting from your Tampa location?
A: Due to everyone's erratic schedules, at this time I do not allow local pick up except for very large pieces (greater than 36x48).
Q: Why cant I copy your paintings to my computer? Yessy only lets me have a tiny thumbnail.
A: Yessy has a built in feature to protect artist's copyrights. If you need a .jpg larger than a thumbnail, please email me and I will be happy to send one to you.
Q: Will I need to have my artwork framed?
A: No. Your painting will come to you on Gallery Wrapped Canvas which is 1 1/2 inches thick and I paint the sides. It can be framed, but is totally optional.
Exception: My YUPO paintings will come in a mat. You will need to have a YUPO framed.
Q: Do you paint portraits, pets, etc.?
A: I am an abstract artist. Even though I am classically trained to paint portraits and animals, I enjoy painting abstract pieces more than anything.
Q: If I order a commission, how long will it take to receive my painting?
A: Generally, I can create a piece and have it ready to ship within 14 - 21 days depending on my schedule.
Q: How can I know the colors will be right for my decor?
A: Email me and I can send you a test pattern with 16 shades of gray. If you can see all of those on your computer, then the colors should be very close in person.
Q: Can I send color samples and fabric from my couch so you can create a painting to match?
A: Yes. I specialize in helping my collectors compliment their decor.
