"Dreaming Cat" is the reflection of the recent Western European trip of Elena Azernaya. Performance of numerous details and implementation of rich colors and various forms is Elena’s highly individual method of creating art in Romantic Symbolism, the style in which the artist works for more then a decade. Thick paint and large brush strokes add a joyous expression to every aspect of the art work.
Radiant colors are achieved by using the primary quality oil pigments applied to professionally prepared canvas and protected by varnish. The painted area of the picture is 24x24 inches in size, with a 1.5 inch painted border, so the frame is not needed. This original oil painting is signed by the artist in front and back of the picture. According to the artist's statement, this original is not going to be repeated in the future. No copies or prints have been done from the picture.
