Acclaimed by some sections of the Australian media as a "phenomenon", Moffitt began painting just 5 years ago. he has never had a lesson, never read an art book, and never been inside an art gallery to see the work of others.
He has won several regional art prizes and in 2005 won 1st prize in a National Still Life challenge. He made the final 5 again in 2006.
Moffitt exhibits in galleries in most capitals of Australia. He is a full-time artist who paints 7 days a week to keep up with the demand for his work which sells worldwide.
He has received acclaim from within the art industry for his realistic style, as well as recognition from several national and international figures.
His work has been featured in over 47 regional, national and international press articles.
Tony Moffitt lives in Newcastle, Australia with his wife, Sandy. Moffitt's work was launched into the USA in early 2007. He has won a string of Art Prizes in America. In 2009 he will exhibit in China. 'There is no finer still life artist in the world today'-Phillips.
