Elaine Frenett:

Originally from Colorado, where light and color travel the entire spectrum - from the gray monotone of winter snow storms to the brilliant splashings of flowers in spring meadows - Elaine drank all that in.
The simple tomboy she was, grew to experience multi-faceted homes, dynamic relationships, rich nature exposure and expansive travel. Eventually, meandering back to the simple dream . . . of being an artist.
In 1987, Frenett committed to pursuing those artistic yearnings. She graduated in 1991 from San Jose State University with a BS in Graphic Design, focusing in Illustration. As an illustrator, she has been published from New York to San Francisco. In between illustration jobs, she began to paint things she loved and received such strong response from her audience, she knew her direction had begun to change. Eventually, Elaine's interest shifted to fine art, where she now finds more personal satisfaction. Ms. Frenett has taught private classes as well as, done presentations at Universities and various art clubs. Her art pieces are currently in collections private, corporate, museum and international. And while her wanderings do continue, worldly and creatively, she has happily relocated to the Rogue Valley where beauty and discovery spark her artistic spirit.
Ms. Frenett is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, Southern Oregon Society of Artists, Artists’ Workshop of Oregon, The Plein Air Society of Southern Oregon, Ashland Artisans Gallery & Art Center, Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, California Watercolor Association, and is a Watercolor West Juried Member in addition to being one of the original members of Artists for Open Space.

Wanda lives and breathes to paint. It is both her passion and her livelihood. She is a professional internationally collected artist with work in Cyprus, Australia, England, Quebec, Mexico, etc.
She loves to experiment and try out new techniques. I don’t usually sketch anything although sometimes I will work with photographs using a photo editing software to come up with a great composition. She enjoys letting the paint just flow, guiding it with a palette knife and sometimes a brush. Wanda, "I let my creativity flow just like I let my paint flow."
Wanda also states, "I care about each piece and strive to create a quality painting. I want every painting to be loved by the owner and this is why I have a 100% money back guarantee for all of my work. If you don’t just love it, I’ll find a new home for it."
Here is a press release written about her:
Wanda Johnson Pepin has become known for her vibrant paintings depicting the simple wonders of nature. Coming from a modest background, Wanda emphasizes simple pleasures and the joy they bring through her paintings. She uses her gift as a vehicle to communicate the wonders of nature.
It was while growing up in a small town in northern California that her appreciation of nature's beauty began to be nurtured. At a young age she began to express this love of nature in her paintings. She began receiving recognition as a young teen by winning first place at a local art competition.
Over the years, she has fine tuned her style and the technique she uses is recognized as uniquely her own. Many of her designs have been chosen for limited edition prints and other designs have been chosen for licensed products. |
