Margie Tabor Zuliani was born in Falls Mills, Virginia to a family of thirteen. She grew up on a working farm and spent a lot of time in the woods pretending and walking the country roads with siblings and friends. Zuliani came to California in 1970 and in 1977 began her study of art at Coastline Community College, she continued at Goldenwest College, Santa Ana College, Platt College, CSUF and continues self study today and teaches for Santa Ana Unified School District and the Department of Education. She was the founding member of Legacy Art Gallery in Santa Ana's Artists Village in 1996. She closed the gallery in 2004 to pursue her career in painting, drawing, and teaching and to travel. Her work is currently on exhibit at SAC ARTS Gallery in the Santora Building of the Arts in Santa Ana's Artists Village through February 2006. her work has evolved from figurative to abstracted works as she defines her empathy for humanity in her works such as "Orphans of the Storm" and "Farewell to a Friend," (school children in Bosnia attending a school friends funeral.) Her new series "AFFECTED" has been highly acclaimed as she has developed a new a completely original style, a cross between abstraction and fauvism and she continues to evolve. Zuliani is one of Orange Counties emerging artists to watch in the 21st century.
